People with intellectual disabilities are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as part of Phase 2 in Ontario’s vaccine rollout.People with intellectual disabilities are considered “high risk” and may be listed using different terms including but not limited to:
-Intellectual or developmental disabilities (for example, Down Syndrome)
-Individuals with high-risk chronic conditions
-Individuals with chronic health conditions
-Adult with developmental disability
-High-risk health conditions

Eastern Ontario Health Unit
2nd dose information:
- People who received their first dose between February 27 - March 21 will be contacted by the Public Health Unit to book appointments for their second dose
- Individuals are eligible to book their second dose 28 days after their first dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
- Individuals are eligible to book their second dose 8 weeks after their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
